Glassworking, Lampworking Glasses & Eyewear - Walewear
WaleWear is an exclusive line of polycarbonate lenses (didymium replacement) designed for hot glassworking, featuring lightweight, scratch resistant lenses that filter sodium flare and UV emissions. The “SB” and “B3” series offers additional IR protection.
Available in standard economy, fitover, stylish plastic and metal safety frames which meet z87 standard.
WaleWear is available in the following lenses:
- S-Series: This series would typically be used by the soft glass beadmaker & lampworker. Sodium Flare and UV protection.
- SB-Series: This series is slightly darker than the standard series. The SB-series eyewear would typically be used by the soft glass or clear borosilicate glass torch lampworker/Glassblower. Also excellent for kiln work and furnace glassblowing. Sodium Flare, UV and IR protection.
- B3-Series: This series features the same benefits as the SB series with the addition of a welder’s shade #3. This helps with the brightness reduction for colored Borosilicate glass. Sodium Flare, UV and IR protection.
