WALETEX (BLACK COLOR) HIGH TEMP GLASS TAPES W/ ADHESIVE BACKING
Waletex coated glass tapes feature a Silicate mineral composition coating which helps increase the temperature resistance by 10 times or more over that of uncoated glass tapes. Waletex coated glass tapes are asbestos-free.
These tapes offer flame resistance up to 2000° F with continuous use temperatures from 1500° F to 1800° F. Most conventional glass tapes can only be used at temperatures up to 1000° F. In addition, Waletex tapes are strong. In a torch test, a .066" thick sample withstood a direct flame (approx. 2000° F) for 30 minutes before beginning to burn through (torch nozzle - 2" from sample). The combination of increased temperature resistance and strength means a longer working life. Also, it means that Waletex tapes can be used for a wide range of applications.
