An artist’s favorite striking color. The rod is a funky avocado green and is worked like any amber purple by heating to white hot and keeping the surface haze burned off. When the piece is finished let it cool till the orange glow is gone and then strike to purples by reintroducing the piece to the outermost portion of the flame. Areas that have had the haze burned off will turn a rich dark transparent purple and areas that the haze is left on show up as a pretty cloudy blue. It is very easy to flame strike.
