Deep Purple is an opaque that strikes from a pastel violet to a deep blue/purple and also reduces to blues and aquas.

In the picture to the right, the bead at the top is Deep Purple lightly over Ivory, then reduced to bring out the violet color with wispy blues. The middle bead is Deep Purple lightly dotted over TAG104 Super Clear, then reduced. The bottom is highly reduced with clear dots added halfway through the reduction.
